Providing Full Medical Cover for the Wirral PLF Love2Run Marathon 2026

We are thrilled to announce that for the second year running, Osprey EMS has been selected as the official medical provider for the The Paul Lavelle Foundation’s Love2Run Race Event!

Taking place on 10th May 2026, this incredible event brings the community together for a Marathon, Half Marathon, and 10K, all starting and finishing at the iconic Fort Perch Rock in New Brighton. Being asked to return for a second consecutive year is a testament to the high standards of care our team delivered last year, and we can’t wait to get back to the Wirral coast.

Advanced Medical Provision for Every Mile

A race of this scale—featuring a brand-new Marathon route—requires a sophisticated medical infrastructure. We aren’t just placing a few first aiders at the finish line; we are deploying a comprehensive, multi-tiered clinical team to ensure the safety of every runner, spectator, and race official.

Our deployment for the 2026 event includes:

  • Finish Line Doctor: Expert clinical oversight where it’s needed most—at the end of the race.

  • Paramedic Ambulance Crews: Providing frontline emergency capabilities and rapid transit if required.

  • Registered Nurses: Supporting our clinical stations with high-level patient assessment.

  • Cycle Responders: Our “medics on wheels” can navigate the New Brighton promenade and race routes faster than any vehicle, reaching runners in those critical first moments.

  • First Responder Teams: Strategically placed throughout the 10K, Half, and Full Marathon routes for immediate assistance.

Supporting a Vital Cause

The Paul Lavelle Foundation does incredible work supporting men’s health and victims of domestic abuse. At Osprey EMS, we are proud to align ourselves with an organisation that makes such a tangible difference in the North West. Our goal is to handle the safety logistics so that the Foundation can focus on what they do best: building a supportive community.
